There are hidden treasures with each new day. Fresh air, sunshine or rain, faithful pets and loving relationships, whatever the case may be…even some trials to free us from being so earthbound. The greatest treasure is that we are all equally loved and protected by such a generous Creator.

Quote # 3 by Maya Angelou
“In the end, only three things matter
How much you loved,
How gently you live
How gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.”
***
Maya Angelou lived a surpassing life with insurmountable courage and wisdom – so choosing this quote is very meaningful to me.
Her life reflects being in love with ‘loving.’ That’s my goal too.
She lived with such gentle compassion to achieve her dreams – leaving this legacy for us to follow.
What wisdom…her greatness lies in surrendering to what is not meant for us to be or have.
I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in this 3-day quote challenge, and gladly nominate the following blogger nominees to continue in this challenge:

Joan of Arc (1414 – 1431)
Patron of France and Soldiers
Remembering…
When I was a young girl living in France I marveled at the sites Joan is famous for – Orleans and the Rheims Cathedral. She was a 13-year-old peasant girl who began to hear heavenly voices and obeyed them because she tried to do what she thought God wanted of her.
The English and French were in a long constant battle for claiming the French throne. Her mission – to reclaim Orleans and to crown Charles VII as the Dauphin at Rheims. A year after this victory, Joan was captured by the English, charged with heresy and burned at the stake on May 31, 1431.
Joan of Arc helps me to fight my battles. One more thing, my mother possessed a beautiful silver medallion (shown above) of her charging into battle. Today I wear it affectionately to thank my Maman and Joan of Arc.
