Symbol of the Pelican

Equality According to Holy Scripture

“…as a matter of equality your abundance at the present time should supply their (others) needs so that their abundance may also supply your needs, that there may be equality.

As it is written:

Whoever had much did not have more, and whoever had little did not have less.”

-Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians 8:13-15-

altar pelican

The pelican is a symbol for Christ’s sacrifice for humankind.

This passage from St. Paul gives my heart a fresh understanding that God’s meaning for equality is different from our own, especially given the apparent climate in American and world politics…that is, there is something nobler for us to ponder about that would resolve our problems…

Happy Sunday to Everyone!
