Simmering Potpourri Recipe

One of my Christmas traditions is to simmer a potpourri with the following flavors:

In a Dutch oven pot, water to cover

fresh cranberries, sliced oranges and lemons

cinnamon sticks, vanilla bean sticks, a couple of fresh rosemary or mint sprigs

candied ginger pieces, peppermint canes, cloves, sprinkle of nutmeg

and a few drops of essential frankincense or myrrh oil

Simmer this combination on low heat for a couple of hours and voila…your home will smell heavenly…you can make extra batches in mason jars for gift giving.
