Artful Writing

The ‘way of nada’ (nothing) describes the mystery of the empty manger. John of the Cross calls it an ardent exchange between the soul and Christ, as reflected in his poem, ‘The Spiritual Canticle.’

“If, then, I am no longer

seen or found on the common,

you will say that I am lost;

that, stricken by love,

I lost myself, and was found.”

Saint John explains:  “Anyone truly in love will let all other things go in order to come closer to the loved one.”

…we are all meant to be found by God…
