Kiss The Past Goodbye
Do you have a sad song in your heart?
In the Old Testament Book of Ruth Chapter 1-4, Naomi and her daughters-in-law all lost their husbands. In faithful fidelity, Ruth followed her mother-in-law Naomi to Bethlehem while Orpah left them. Two women kissed their past goodbye and Orpha held on to her bitter memories.
Are any of you continuing in this new year with old thinking still? I approached this question three years ago after my mother’s death; I no longer saw the value of those sad songs in my heart, and I believe my mother’s heavenly prayers helped me to let go.
Regrets, bitterness, loneliness, poor health and missed opportunities — kiss all that goodbye! For all those closed doors behind you, God foresaw. Time to protect the ‘perfect’ spirit God breathed into your life. March is just around the corner, then Spring will pop. Moving forward and reaching out for new dreams — that’s what we all deserve; better friendships and new work…and peace will emerge. Kissing the past goodbye begets a higher calling for happiness.
