“A message from a Calliope Hummingbird”

Is it a moth?

So quick and small…

Perhaps a dragonfly… or a butterfly in the distance?

What an amazing existence!

Zipping and darting through flowers

At this early hour!

What a discovery!

It’s the tiniest forest hummingbird

That I have ever observed!

The calliope hummingbird,

A true miracle of Nature!

A jewel so shiny,

Such a magnificent creature

In a body so tiny!

Named the “beautiful voiced” by the Greeks,

A wonder so sweet,

With an indomitable spirit,

Who travels thousands of miles without limits

A RE-BLOG POST – Man in the Door

This poem by DarylMadden expresses my sentiments exactly, so worthy of a second glance.  Happy Saturday to You!

So grateful this day
I could go to the store
A man clearly stressed
Appeared at the door

I had to think fast
To bless him this day
Lord gift me your word
To recast his way

Lord please flow through me
In peace , let him be
I asked how are you
His answered pleased me

The Lord has blessed him
In so many ways
May he slow down
This petition, I pray

I hoped he would stop
But he ran out the door
So I’ll pray for him
Please Lord bless him some more
