Each Friday I look forward to a roundabout of errands after spending time with the Lord in a cozy chapel.  I see the world in a special new way soaking everything around me and voila – this

Eyes canvas the horizon

savor fluffy whipped cream clouds

grasping God’s handiwork

…stopping at the store to buy the makings for a sweet desert for supper…

…O the joys of jubilation, living with purpose–not retirement..!

AFFIRMATION on the Feast of Jesus’ Sacred Heart

By the selfless piercing of your heart, we owe you the cost of pure love.

“Love that’s freely given wants to be freely received.  All the love you’ve poured on us can hardly be believed and all that I can offer you is thanks, with new chapters yet unfold, in love that would grow.”  –Darryl Ducote

Rumi – Mystical Poet

O Jelaluddin

your poetry is universal

Your words never die

Poem – Only Breath

“Not Christian or Jew or Muslin, not Hindu, Buddhist, Sufi or Zen.  Not any religion or cultural system.  I am not from the East or the West, not out of the ocean or up from the ground, not natural or ethereal, not composed of elements at all.

I do not exist, am not an entity in this world or the next, did not descend from Adam or Eve or any origin story.  My place is placeless, a trace of the traceless.  Neither body or soul.

I belong to the beloved, have seen the two worlds as one and that one call to and know, first, last, outer, inner, only that breath breathing human being.”

“There is a way between voice and presence where information flows.

In disciplined silence it opens.

With wandering talk it closes.”
