O November, you change the season with grey skies, colder temperatures and barren meadows, but that’s not all you do.  You interrupt our ordinary lives with the “Communion of Saints.”  Those glorious souls in the heavens praying for us on earth.  No matter who we are and where we are, your prayers for us encourage success along the journey of life.  So let us rally together and give thanks for the many daily blessings that our gratitude can convey.  Yes, there are many fervent fans for winter sports, family gatherings and shopping sprees leading to all kinds of festivities at the end of the year, but let us not forget to celebrate life with purpose and joy.  Indeed, we are called to dine at the kingdom of God.

  Lord! lead your people home.
