The holidays have quickly passed us by.  It’s now ‘ordinary time,’ but for the Chinese this ‘winter jasmine’ welcomes Spring, a sign that a good end usually ushers a good beginning.  Let us begin anew life’s journey upholding our inheritance as prince, priest, prophet and king!  Following Christ.

Also, today, is special for my dear friend, Vera, on her birthday – sending her this winter jasmine with a warm smile and kind wishes.

“We cannot predict the future – all the joys and sorrows, excitements and disappointments, that the next 12 months may contain.  No, we can only take things one day at a time.  But let us praise the Lord that, come what may, one thing remains perfectly clear:  our eternal future.”  — Rev. Sebastian White, O.P.
