ON THE VERGE

Art by Charles Burchfield

ARTFUL WRITING

This puzzling art gives me incentive that our world is on the brink of recovery for restoration from this pandemic.

If we bring the current events to a personal level, each new day gives fresh air, sunshine or rain, attention to loving our relations and pets, whatever the case may be…these trials stretch us to be less earthbound. Let us all lean on our generous and protective Creator.

CAFE’ DU MIDI

OFF THE CUFF Writing

Wouldn’t it be fantastic for us to sit at this French café’ and exchange storytelling.  There is something special about writing outdoors. With a spring breeze to clear the mind and a much needed warmth from the sun to stir up our fantasies, being with God in nature is an excellent springboard for creativity.

Your scribeforlove thanks you for your faithful presence here.  Come collaborate with me anytime in writing on this blog!  The possibilities are endless when one writes from the heart and shares it generously!

HAIBUN

My joy for art and writing can easily be summed up in a Haiku…delving into a sacred ‘spiritual practice in three lines.’

CALL TO RETURN

Jesus at the Door by Warren Sallman

ARTFUL WRITING

Like a single feather falling from blue sky, my eyes behold Jesus knocking at the door.  His presence emanates a golden light in contrast to the dark surrounding thorns and thickets.  No door knob to push open; even the grate evidences darkness within.  Jesus is at the door of our hearts infusing grace, his spirit sheds light to our minds that we may each decide when to open the door to receive Christ in love and mercy.

“When the spirit from on high is poured out on us, then will the desert become an orchard and the orchard be regarded as a forest.  Right will dwell in the desert and justice abide in the orchard.  Justice will bring about peace; right will produce calm and security.”

–Isaiah 32:15-17

Once again, I say:  Be patient, continue to pray, God is in control of our world.
