“MILK EVERY MOMENT”

Painting by Pierre Bonnard

WEDNESDAY’S BLESSING

“The best thing you could do for anyone that you love, is to be happy!”

“And the very worst thing that you could do for anyone that you love, is be unhappy, and then ask them to try to change it, when there is nothing that anybody else can do that will make you happy.”

“If it is your dominant intent to hold yourself in vibrational harmony with who you really are, you could never offer any action that would cause anybody else to be unhappy.”

–Abraham-Hicks

A MONDAY MORNING MESSAGE FOR HOPE

OFF THE CUFF Writing

Hope and Determination leads to progress.

No doubt about it – Our current world is experiencing phenomenal adversities.  Myriads of bitter factions over this invisible virus continue to widen the global rift, igniting a “bonfire of vanity.” (Girolamo Savonarola).  The alternative is the possibility to pass from former ways to newness of life.

Hope and determination open the door of Faith which shed Light if only we permit the healing power of God.  This is the challenge going forward.  May we each have the courage and fortitude to walk in a newness of life.

“Alleluia!  I give thanks to Yahweh with everything I’ve got–Splendor and beauty mark his craft; His generosity never gives out.  His miracles are his memorial.  Never-out-of-date, never obsolete, rust-proof.  He paid the ransom for his people.  He’s so personal and holy; worthy of our respect.  The good life begins in the fear of Yahweh–Do that and you’ll know the blessing of Yahweh.  His Alleluia lasts forever!”

–Psalm 111 –Eugene H. Peterson

FREEDOM’S SONG

Flag Story Quilt by Faith Ringgold

ARTFUL WRITING on Memorial Day

HAIL! All fallen soldiers who spilled their precious blood to secure freedom in our homeland.  Their sacrifices remind us to fight to preserve freedom now and for generations to come.  I believe they would want us to rise above the pandemic, resume life in work and worship to embody our  inalienable rights:

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness

The Stars and Stripes flag inspires this acronym:

F – Fight for Freedom

R – Remain calm and civil

E – Engage in dialogue – not debate

 E – Extend a helping hand

 D – Deliver truth

 O – Open your heart

M – Make every moment in life count

“When we honor our flag we honor what we stand for as a nation – freedom, equality, justice and hope.  –Old Glory Quote

Wishing everyone a Happy Memorial Day!
