STARRY NIGHT

Starry Night over The Rhone by Vincent van Gogh

HAIBUN

Amazing feat…van Gogh painted this ‘starry night’ while convalescing in an asylum in 1888.  I dare say that his heart overcame his weak mind with loving affection as he inserted a couple walking along the bank of the Rhone river in Arles, France.  This painting always touches my heart as I recall the starry night I met my Beloved spouse for the first time on Halloween night.  No ghastly ghosts for us that evening!

HARVEST PRAYER

A THOUGHT AND MEDITATION

The glories of October are resplendent with the bounties of the earth.

With morning light brings night sheltering rest.

A Hail Mary for provisions and protection from any harm.

A Thank You for love of family, friends and gainful employment.

And everything else that is good in between.
