A HOLY WORLD ORDER

A THOUGHT AND MEDIATION

God tenderly loves all his creatures, and more so, us.

Every Christmas God offers us his perfect world order.

“God’s power is this:  that he can be what he is not and yet still remain what he is; our God.  The reality of his flesh is revealed in his weakness and the reality of his majesty is revealed in his miracles.”

–Saint Zeno of Verona

Tell me!  What miracles has God given you during this phenomenal year?

Today I took down the bird houses and gave them a good scrub to fill them to the brim with aromatic seed for the birds and squirrels that graciously surround our home with God’s mystery and beauty.

GOOD SUNDAY AFFIRMATION

Snow has come to stay for a while.  I see it as a crisp new path to becoming a ‘living yes.’  –Father Joseph-Marie Perrin, O.P.

Like Mary, we are summoned to “Be it done to me!”

“Yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.”  –Matthew 11:26

Yes, this new year, I will seek the dreams that God has for me.

What about you?

ARTFUL WRITING

The deep halls of Advent have filled my craving for God.  Like the song says, “All is well,” now I add to this, “let not your hearts be troubled. ” Christmas miracles are shining forth on you despite this dizzying world.

May this Christmastide wrap you with hopeful, loving joy because:

Mary is sitting in a crescent of luminous light holding Baby Jesus, while in her lap are enfolded all the children of the world.  Emmanuel is here.

HOW WE STAND

OFF THE CUFF Writing

After a marvelous Christmas celebration, it’s good to see where we stand after enduring such a tough year, don’t you agree?

As I have, I’m sure you have found rays of light to shine upon those dark days of the pandemic.  Bravo!

The coming new year gives us a fresh start, Allelulia!

That’s what I am going to contemplate during these last days of 2020.

Like the Christmas song says, “All is well.”

I send you my love.
