BLESSINGS OF GOOD SLEEP

A Bing Image

Each night I look forward to that moment I release all that has happened in the day.  I bless heaven as my thoughts seek the heavenly mysteries, thanking for providential help and graces to fulfill the day’s promptings.

“My soul yearns for you in the night.”

Isaiah 26:29

Even in my sleep, I hear God asking me, “What are you ready to give up to receive the Kingdom of God?”

Each night I ponder what price I am ready to pay.  When morning comes, I wait for the answer to unfold.

The hand of the Lord feeds us; he answers all our needs.”

–Psalm 145

During sleep we receive patience to handle difficult situations, even divine counsel as Jacob , Samuel and Joseph received.

Lord, thank you for the gift of sleep to restore and refresh our body, mind and soul.

May you receive all the blessings of a good sleep every night.

WHEN CARDINALS FLY

A Bing Image

“May you come to find comfort in and remember when Cardinals appear when Angels are near.  So go now, sit outside and drink your tea.  Keep a look out for the little Red Bird.  It’s there, your Loved Ones will be.”

–Victoria McGovern

O how I love to see my family of Cardinals feeding at my deck each day…

Flying wings of hope

Hungry for bread crumbs to eat

My Loved Ones are here

PROPHETS AMONG US

Prophet Painting by Richard Rogers

I have come to acknowledge something remarkable — that of the “Prophets” who express God’s prophecies for all people who face dire challenges around the world today.  They are many and they speak boldly of what is coming now and in the future.

If you have ears to hear and eyes to see, the contemporary prophets are found on YouTube.  Each has his or her own flavorful personality woven within the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  They always refer to the Old Testament Prophets and the Word of the Lord.  For those who listen, they challenge the “churches” and their foundational revelations to step out of their religion boxes of denominations in order to seek out God in Truth and Spirit, not in man-made rules and doctrines.  That’s a radical stance for many believers to ponder, yet, you won’t find God in any box.  The spiritual realm is much more comprehensive for a true revival to take place in our present world.

I find these special messengers of God to encourage living the Word of God and growing my faith to new heights. What is also breathtaking is that these true Prophets reveal similar prophecies that intersect each other and come to pass.

Whatever you may think about prophets, I pray that God will attune all ears and hearts to what today’s prophets are saying so that each of us may respond to the challenges of our times with faithful attentiveness, Amen.

DESPITE THE RUBBLES OF LIFE

“Destruction, despair and death will not have the last word.”

–Thomas Wenski, Archbishop of Miami

What little I hear about worldly news proves the essence of this quote.  People are likely to ask, “Why do bad things happen?”  All around more atrocities occur, and when I pray for all the suffering cries, I say they are not to blame, not even God.  For we just live in an imperfect world where evil seems to prevail more and more.

The story of Job in the Bible comes to mind to remind us how he was so patient in trusting God to vindicate his dilemma with the devil.  Calamities, despair and death can be overcome by the transformative power of Faith in God.  Isn’t this the call we hear blowing in the wind today?  God is always a loving Creator even if our planet is in rebellion to His ordered plan.

Abba Father, Help us and all the ones we love to accomplish the plan of Love that You desire for each of us, Amen.
