LEARNING FROM CONFUCIUS

Continuing on an expose of Confucius’ life.

Confucius contributed to the world a philosophy of universal harmony which is very lacking today.  He had a genuine desire to bring peace and prosperity to all people, especially his fellow Chinese.

He was deeply rooted in virtue, ethics and proper behavior.  He established 4 virtues:  benevolence, moral wisdom, righteousness and honoring traditions.  He taught that “once we understand our shared humanity, we open ourselves up to feelings of altruism, respect for one another, and even friendship.”  Where is that today around the world?

“The man of virtue is not left to stand alone.  He who practices it will have neighbors.”

Confucius spent his life promoting this philosophy which is still a foundation for the Chinese people.
