BE HAPPY!

Don’t worry, be happy!”

–Bobby Mcferrin

Friends, I am elated just to get on the road southward to see the ocean.  To take a respite from being stuck at home is an understatement.  Still, check out my daily thought.  Be back online June 7th.

Be Blessed!

A RE-BLOG POST – Two Horses…………..

The imagery of the two horses is perfect to align with this story.

Boundless Blessings by Kamal

Just up the road from a home in Wisconsin is a stable owned by one Mr. Jeffrey with few horses. From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing. Looking into the eyes of one horse very closely will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him. This alone is amazing. If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field.

Attached to the horse’s halter is a small bell. It lets the blind friend know where the other horse is, so he can follow him wherever he goes. As you stand and…

ADVICE FROM A WILDFLOWER

“Show your true colors.  Delight in simple pleasures.  Celebrate your natural beauty.  Open up!  Spread seeds of joy.  Blossom in your own season.  Be wild and wonderful.”

–Jlan Shamir

Choosing to be set apart is bold and rewarding.

A dear friend asked me, “Do you know the voice that God has given you?”  No one has asked that question before, yet while meditating on it, these simple thoughts emerged as I conversed with God.

“Each voice is magnificent, yet evil has tainted it.

Lord, describe the voice you have given me.

Let my voice be a soothing tongue that becomes like the tree of life…purify my chords.

Let my voice bless heaven, bless everyone I encounter, so that the chains of evil be broken.

Let my conversation be always full of grace, not carrying any demeaning thoughts.

Let my lips be a balm for broken hearts.

Set a guard over my mouth.

I choose to be set apart as a forerunner for the beauty and splendor of heaven.

O, Lord, help get my voice back.

How do you see your voice as being important to God?

FRESH NEW LIFE

“Between every two pine trees there is a door leading to a new way of life.”

–John Muir

There is fresh new life in the forest.  Be refreshed with cool guggling downstream water over mossy rocks.  Morning sunshine cracks hope through the treetops for weary forest bathers in dry places.  No time to think about today’s news reports.  The fresh flowers will revive the lost mind.  A place of prayer awaits to replenish the confused heart.

“God is anything but boring.  Believe, He will do the rest.”

CULTIVATING GOODNESS

“If you thank God for small mercies, greater ones will come.”

–yours truly

Picture yourself in this Sahara Desert as good soil for writing. Say What? Stay with me…

As bloggers, we can experience ‘fog’ spells.   When this happens to me, I ask the Spirit to give me an image to write about as a living prayer.  You say, what?  Yes, that helps, so does going outdoors or looking out a window to quickly connect with the world at hand.  Our senses will do the rest to show how nature is a great canvas for expression.

Being bold with a pen or tapping the keyboard helps to reveal what’s in the heart.  That alone conveys joy to God and expresses how thankful I am for what He does for me and others.  To savor the memories, challenges, victories, dreams, love of family and friends, even the hardships, will keep the writing coming.  So, write your story and make it a worthy reading!
