SUMMER REFRESHERS


After tasting a sweet watermelon, I’m gearing up for making refreshing summer drinks…like these below…almost as good as embarking on a tropical vacation.

WATERMELON LIME OR LEMON SLUSH

In a blender, puree 2 cups watermelon pieces, zest of lime or lemon, 1/4 cup sugar, 4 oz. aloe vera juice. 2 cups ice and 1 cup water.

Bonus – a daily dose of watermelon will flush bloating.

BLUEBERRY BLAST SMOOTHIE

In a blender combine 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries, 2 bananas, 4 oz. aloe vera juice, 1 tbs. honey and 2 cups cold water.

Bonus – Antioxidants in berries will improve brain focus.

CUCUMBER MOJITO MOCK-TAIL

Cook 1/2 cup mint leaves in 1/4 cup sugar and water, cool and puree in blender.  Add to this 1 sliced cucumber, 1/2 cup lime flavored sparkling water and 4 oz. aloe vera juice.  Blend all until smooth.

Bonus – Cucumber erases stress in 20 minutes.

The key ingredient to these summer drinks is aloe vera juice; so beneficial against heartburn and achy joints that will make you feel young again.  Hope you will enjoy these cool tips.
