“I decided that if I could paint a flower in a huge scale, you could not ignore its beauty.”

–Georgia O’Keeffe

I can always count on Georgia O’Keeffe to mesmerize my imagination when I look deeply into her artwork.

The bold and vibrant colors of these Oriental Poppies fire up a sense of immortality, especially when I dwell on the black epicenters.  It reminds me of how creative God forms a soul in a person…a soul so unique for ever.  It happens in a blink of an eye in prayer to discover one’s soul.  Divine is such a moment to feel that blackness, that oneness, bubbling over with love and wisdom.

No doubt, Georgia painted the many facets of her soul in all of her fabulous paintings.  It’s an experience I never tire to enjoy.

I hope you are well with your everlasting soul.

This Sunday’s prayer speaks of “The presence of God burns in our midst:  Come let us adore him!”

May this new week in His court “be better than a thousand elsewhere.

–Psalm 83:10-11
