A LAVENDER PALETTE

“She’s the type of flower that can still grow after a forest fire.”

Free Verse

I came forth from a lavender palette and its scent breathed me into life.

I wobbled into tiny steps as You held my famished hands and breathed more wind to push me forward.

I walked unknowingly into the distance as you flanked me to learn different cultures in strange destinations.

You gave me more wind of knowledge and more people to love.

Now, wherever I go, whomever I meet, I look back to see You always kind and protective.

My lavender palette overflows ever polished with Your mercy and forgiveness.

I am breathing still your divine air!

I hope this inspires you to write your I AM FROM poem.
