A LAVENDER PALETTE

“She’s the type of flower that can still grow after a forest fire.”

Free Verse

I came forth from a lavender palette and its scent breathed me into life.

I wobbled into tiny steps as You held my famished hands and breathed more wind to push me forward.

I walked unknowingly into the distance as you flanked me to learn different cultures in strange destinations.

You gave me more wind of knowledge and more people to love.

Now, wherever I go, whomever I meet, I look back to see You always kind and protective.

My lavender palette overflows ever polished with Your mercy and forgiveness.

I am breathing still your divine air!

I hope this inspires you to write your I AM FROM poem.

WISDOM OF FEELINGS

Feelings can sometimes be fickle, yet I believe that feelings of intuition and inspiration go hand in hand.

For instance, when I listen to the wind, it talks to me.  If I enter into a vacant room, I hear it speak silence to me.  And when I listen to my heart, it knows, and I do listen.

I hope you are feeling great and light as a butterfly today!

FIRE OF CHARITY

“I AM fire and you are the sparks.”

–Caterina of Seina

The desire for God is a striving for salvation, so says Caterina.

The soul rises up in a spark of fire to honor God for its existence.  As it climbs upward it needs the strength of charity to endure earthly trials.  It must let go of pride and foolishness to keep along the path of truth.  Then the soul remains alive to “sow, sow God’s word!”

CHERISH THE MOMENT

The heart is meant to love.

“Stay in the moment.  The practice of staying present will heal you.  Obsessing about how the future will turn out creates anxiety.  Replaying broken scenarios from the past causes anger and sadness.  Stay here in this moment.”

–Sylvester McNutt

Thank goodness for being able to celebrate a friendship, a long-lasting marriage, raising children, getting a new job, entering into retirement jubilation or anything special in your life at this present moment.

TEA TIME

“Tea time is a chance to slow down, pull back and appreciate our surroundings.”

–Letitia Baldrige

Sipping on a variety of hot teas is a favorite pastime of mine.  It pauses me to make sure I live meaningfully.

“One day, you are going to hug your last hug, kiss your last kiss and hear someone’s voice for the last time, but you never know when the last time will be.”

Liver every day as if it were the last time you will be with the person you love.”

–Tiny Buddha

A gentle warning to touch the lives of others now!

FOLLOWING INTUITION

How wonderful God makes us to follow our own intuition.

Has anyone lately suggested you should follow your intuition?

It’s something intangible that you feel deep in your gut to listen to.  You know it comes from your heart and soul.

“Intuition is the whisper of the soul.”  — J. Krishnamurti

Intuition gives a special reasoning to listen to, to create something, helps to live mindfully, to value dreams, keep a journal, able to relax and dismiss all negativity in life.

“Intuition is seeing with the soul.”  —Dean Koontz

With a keen sense of trusting intuition, one can live a more empowered, stronger and happier life.

I wish you great intuition!
