Sending greeting cards for the holidays was a favorite pastime after Thanksgiving for my Maman as I would address the envelopes. The Christmas cards we received I would tape to a board and form them as a Christmas tree held on a door. This trend seems to have disappeared and is being replaced with text and images on peoples’ cell phone.
