“For me, Jesus’ thirst is something so intimate.”

The question here, do you hear your own name at Jesus’ thirsting?  Is he saying more than “I love you?’

“Until you know deep inside that Jesus thirsts for you, you can’t begin to know who he wants to be for you.  Or who he wants you to be for him.  Hear him.  Hear your own name.  Make my joy and yours complete.”

–Saint Teresa of Calcutta

I wish you a blessed new week.

In what state of life will my heart become more a friend of Jesus?”

–Pope Francis

With utmost reverence, let it be known – each person grapples with spiritual combat to one degree or another.  To choose to live in charity and humble service or to pursue worldly values that enslave the soul against God.

“It is a fight to the death that the Lord permits.  For it is a war waged against the enemy of human nature.”  —Pope Francis

It is a battle I strive to win.  What about you?

Have you ever been on a specific quest, to learn more about life?  My life is replete with asking God many things, and undoubtedly so do you.

Moving along with a desire to deepen my prayer life, I have implored the Holy Spirit to guide me.  I find that releasing my will for God’s is most challenging.   But more importantly, the movement of the Holy Spirit is most powerful and undeniable.   Saint Timothy gives a wonderful clue, when he proclaims in Chapter 3, verse 16:

“Undeniably great is the mystery of devotion, who was manifested in the flesh-Jesus, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed to the Gentiles, believed in throughout the world, taken up in glory.”

This affirmation confirms any path of devotion to the Holy Spirit as a child of God seeking Love.  I wonder, what is your devotion that you caress in your heart?  Like standing at the ocean’s shore with waves washing over each of us, Christ lords peace.

Come, Holy Spirit and renew the face of the world…Inspired by a wonderful dream

The universe is filled with simple wonderment.

What is this gift of wonder?

Me think, an attraction to being in awe with God’s simplicity of heart…like the innocence of a child.

May I forget myself and breathe in this wonder of love.  Then will I be able to raise a wellspring of praise and gratitude for God’s divinity upon each one of us – season by season.

What can I do today for God?

If we keep our intentions simple, a good answer will come forth.

“Do what comes to hand.  Whatsoever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.  After all, God is with us.”  –Servant of God Dorothy Day

On this first day of May, I HOPE your life and around the world will ameliorate – be set free from this ugly virus.

Imagine the sweet scent of lilacs surrounding Mary, as Mother of the Church, Protectress of North and South America, as the faithful re-consecrate themselves to Her heart this day for protection.

Mary Totus Tuus,  pray for all your children around the world
