“Water is life’s matter and matrix, mother and medium.  There is no life without water.”

–Albert Szent-Gyorgyi

Poetry by Rumi

A story is like water

that you heat for your bath.

It takes messages between the fire

and your skin.  It lets them meet,

and it cleans you!

Water, stories, the body,

all the things we do, are mediums

that hide and show what’s hidden.

Study them,

and enjoy this being washed

with a secret we sometimes know,

and then not.

If only I could jump in the ocean!

A RE-BLOG POST I was created for Joy

Indeed! and you write Joy exquisitely, worthy of a re-blog here, thank you Kamal.

Boundless Blessings by Kamal

O! Sacred One

I sometimes forget

That I was created for joy

My mind is too busy

My heart is too heavy

Heavy for me to remember

That I have been called to dance

The sacred dance for life

I was created to smile, to love

To be lifted upwith high spirits

And lift my fellowmen up

O! Sacred one

Untangle my feet

From all that ensnares me

Free my beautiful Soul

That we might dance

The dance of flawless crystals

And that our infectious dancing

Might be contagious to one and all

As I was created only for Joy…………………

“Some changes look negative on the surface, but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge.”

–Echart Tolle

Becoming More

The past is so far gone

Rising from an ash heap

The present gives me power

My foundation full of abundance

Chirping birds sing praises to Him who loves me

For there is nothing I shall want

In becoming more

“A tree gives glory to God by being a tree.”

–Thomas Merton

Be like a tree, said Thomas Merton

Imitate God like the tree He has created

Obedient to His creation

“For no two things are created equal”

For like a tree

You can spread roots and raise your arms like a branch

To give God all the glory

“While we are often tempted to look back with regret for goals not reached, we would do better as we move into a new season.”

–T. J. Farr

Second Chance

If we might have a second chance

to live the days once more,

And rectify mistakes we’ve made

to even up the score,

If we might have a second chance

to use the knowledge gained,

Perhaps we might become at last

as fine as God ordained.

But though we can’t retrace our steps

however stands the score,

Tomorrow brings another chance

for us to try once more.”

–T. J. Farr

Providentially today, this poem slipped out of the bible as I was searching for Colossians 2:13-14 and it reads:

“You were dead…but God gave you life with Christ.  He forgave all our sins.  He canceled the record of our debts, those regulations which accused us.  He did away with all that and nailed it to the cross.”

Not a chance this is a coincidence, the poem and Word of the Lord from whom we are bestowed as many chances as we need in life.  Alleluia!
