This bright image brings to mind a practice to identify the seasonal elements in one’s life.  The elements or kigo incorporate the hopes, sorrows and joys of livingThis practice is best suited for going somewhere quiet outside and breathing in the season.  As soon as you relax your mind, write down the words and scenes under three categories:  Daily life, animals and earth.  Keep writing to fill one or two items under each category.  Then begin to write a Haiku associated with the words and scenes you have jotted down and even mention an image to depict your Haiku…you will be amazed at what you discover about the seasonal elements in your life.

The life of Bruce Lee is worth noting here.   Here are some of his life quotes:

“Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it.”

“If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life.  There are no limits.  There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.”

“Real living is living for others.”

“Man, the living creature, the creating individual, is always more important than any established style or system.”

If you decide to practice this kigo experience, do share your results.
