IS TIME RUNNING OUT?

Monkey and Me Oil Painting by Marsha Hammel

OFF THE CUFF Writing

Marsha Hammel’s painting reminds me of my mother saying to me, “why put off tomorrow what you can do today?”  Time does seem to escape us.  My thoughts…we can seize ‘surprise in happiness’ in the present moment…one day at a time.  Whether or not looking into a mirror, happiness comes in some of these many forms:  Natural sensations, satisfaction, joy of loving, giving and desire for God.  I join the French when it comes to happiness – living a healthy and generous life – I wish you a great life full of happiness!

“True happiness comes from the joy of deeds well done, the zest of creating things new.”

WEDNESDAY’S BLESSING – Her Quote

“When I think of death, I only regret that I will not be able to see this beautiful country anymore…unless the Indians are right, and my spirit will walk here after I’m gone.
