THE BEST ‘LITTLE WAY’

OFF THE CUFF Writing

“The reflections on a day well spent furnish us with joys more pleasing than ten thousand triumphs.”  -Thomas a Kempis

I say…

Be adventurous, be kind to strangers, give a helping, never expect anything in return, do everything for God.

WRITE WITH GUSTO

OFF THE CUFF Writing

How I love to write.  With gusto as red as a cardinal I can share my history with no regard to rules of writing and hope my storytelling will amuse you and sprinkle some joy.   Allowing art to spur on the writing, I trust my heart to ‘write my way home.’

Come now — What untold stories do you have to share with us?

KNOW YOUR WORTH

INKLING FOR WORTHINESS

When Saint Paul wrote to the Romans (4:20-25) about Abraham’s righteousness, we are given the same promise – that our faith in God will be counted.

In life we seem to store up treasures for ourselves, but “to be rich in what matters to God, we are not meant to be servants of greed and fraud (Rita A. Simmonds, poet and author) . Lord, what shall I do with the many treasures surrounding me?  To give to the poor is what I must do.  Only then will I hope to follow in Abraham’s footsteps.

What are your treasures for the day to give away?  May the Holy Spirit always guide you in these precious matters.

RESPONDING TO GOD

HAIBUN

There are a gazillion ways to respond to God.  For Therese of Lisieux, it is simply this:

“He teaches without noise of words.  Never have I heard Him speak, but I feel He is within me, at each moment.  He is guiding and inspiring me with what to say and do!”

Between impulse and choice

or inspiration and choice

comes sanity of silence…in the mind

That’s having a rapport with God!
